Misquote

Sometimes I switch channels on tv wayyy too fast. This is what I ended up hearing and had me in stitches. "Dad, what does badunkadunk mean?" "The houses, the village."

My bruddha's coming

I am now getting very excited for this weekend. My family has now confirmed that they will be able to make it down for the bbq on Saturday. Yay me!!! I know a lot of people are going out of their way to make it for just one day and we do appreciate it immensely.

I was going to rant about mice but Terri beat me to it. Just read her blog about it.

What's up with bananas being the "it" word for everything this year? Yeah good eatin' put it's kinda been around forever.

James if you're reading this -go to bed! - It's time to get some sleep.

Anybody travelling this weekend, don't bother trying to avoid the construction in Saint John. It's everywhere. Just go with it. Think of it as a new exhibition ride.

Ooh I can't wait til Terri's family meets Tyler and Jesse. Should be fun. Too bad Sean's not coming. Oh well I don't think they could handle that.

Notes

Spent the past couple a' days talking to my peeps and it was really good to get in touch again. Have missed you all. Several people have confirmed for the big bbq/shower and I appreciate it immensely as I know that travelling will be involved. I will make it up to you by getting you all fat that day...except Tyler, Jesse and Melissa. I don't think there's enough food in the world.

Have been exhausted lately from work, the yard sale, trying to find a new place to live etc but all is looking up again and expect to sleep in sometime next month.

Huge news!!! Tyler will be performing at the Stomp! He will be taking on the lead vocal duties for Rock Bottom on Saturday night right before Karma comes on (the headliners of the whole event). It's Tyler's biggest showcase expecting more than 5000 people to be in attendance. Don't worry Scrat, you shine in the limelight. Make it yours Rockstar.

A shout out to James, Jesse, Amy, Doug for keeping me smiling this week. Thanks gang, I needed it.

Ya ever?

D'ya ever start thiking about a song or movie that you haven't heard or seen in forever. That's where it begins. The search. Ooh I know everyone in '89 had this song so it should be easy to find. Oh this movie was filmed in NB so they just have to have a copy of it. Not to be. You search frantically for the one item. It wasn't even that important at first but now that you can't find it you can't let the system win. You know it's out there. Store after store, p2p after p2p (perfectly legal in Canada - and as I say if they didn't want me to download it then they would have made it available in a store to purchase so ppfftt!!)
Then after a week of looking and asking everyone you know, there it is, one single copy that one person has online of such song/movie. Uh oh of course they have dial up and the download takes another full week but that's okay as long as you found it. Then as soon as it's finished downloading (as long as it doesn't cut out after 3 days saying the file is corrupt) while wandering through the mall, there it is. The lousy muther's got in 5 copies as did the store in the other mall. They told me they couldn't even order it!!! Now I don't want to buy it from them cuz they put me through hell trying to get it and they lied to me. No I won't let them win. So I drive to Moncton, go to the same store where they don't know me and buy my song/movie...and just to be a prick on my downloaded copy I comment doesn't work/ corrupted (kidding I wouldn't do that, that's too evil).
